Will Lead U.S. Sales Efforts

ALDEN, New York, January 19, 2011 – Alden Optical Inc, manufacturer of custom made-to-order soft and gas permeable contact lenses announces that Bill Shelly has joined the organization. Shelly will be charged with leading the US sales efforts of Alden Optical and will report to Tom Shone, President, Alden Optical. “Bill possesses tremendous contact lens sales management experience, an in-depth knowledge of the specialty lens niche and innumerable connections with eye care professionals across the country. Bill’s strengths will be extremely important as we look to serve more US practitioners with our custom and specialty lenses” stated Shone. Most recently, Shelly served in sales management and customer oriented roles at CooperVision. In addition, Shelly has served in sales related capacities at Paragon Vision Sciences, UCO Optics and Gordon Contact Lenses. He has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Contact Lens Society of America and has attained N.C.L.C. status as bestowed by the National Contact Lens Examiners.
